羨
envy · covet · desire · yearn
Look at the kanji: 羊 (sheep) on top, 次 (drooling, mouth-water) below. 羨 is the face of wanting — eyeing what someone else has and yearning for it. The mini-game above puts a sheep on a meadow and lets you stalk it: it grazes peacefully until your cursor gets too close, then darts. Time your reach for the still moment and the sheep is yours. Eight catches and the kanji is yours too.
Common compounds: 羨望 (senbō, envy, admiration), 羨ましい (urayamashii, enviable).
